Lesson 7 Semi-Consonants: y and w

Y and w are  used when there is no consonant at the beginning of a syllable, for examples yi, ya, ye, yao, yan, yin  and wo, wa, wen , wei, etc.

It opens naturally.

Tongue:

The tongue touches the upper teeth.

The air flows out of the gap between the tongue tip and the upper teeth.

Lips:

Flat-shaped
